Monthly Members Meeting in September 2025: DFA Highlights

We're excited to bring you the highlights from our Monthly Digital Freight Alliance Meeting in September 2025, a key regular meeting with DFA members. Let's now commend the subjects covered in the meeting as an excellent opportunity and learning experience.

Vision & Strategy

The Digital Freight Alliance was started in early 2020 as a group of delivery companies using SeaRates tools. DFA aims to be the most important group for independent freight forwarders and includes over 190 countries. DFA is the first choice, even with a lot of competition, because it uses new ideas and technology. It constantly tries to create new chances for its members.

To grasp how a bigger vision developed from this starting point, it's significant to know that DFA started in DP World. DP World was created because of Dubai's culture as a place for trade. As trade restrictions have increased worldwide in the past ten years, DP World believes that the digital revolution can help drive growth.

To achieve this growth, we need to help small- and medium-sized shipping companies use digital tools so they can compete with larger companies that are already using them effectively.

Besides, our esteemed guest, Mr. Dereck Ng, was recently a speaker at the DFA Executive Roundtable 2025, held in Kuala Lumpur on September 23, where he gave a presentation about SeaRates Container Tracking as a tool for shipment visibility in real-time and for increased efficiency in global logistics and also about how the strategic benefits conferred by DFA membership pave the way for the nurturing of international relationships and fostering of business opportunities.
