Vision & Strategy

The Digital Freight Alliance was formed at the beginning of 2020 merely as a collection of logistics companies that were taking advantage of the SeaRates tools. DFA envisions itself as the most prominent collective for independent freight forwarders and comprises the entire globe with more than 190 countries. DFA remains the favorite even under stiff competition because it employs fresh ideas and technology. It keeps on searching for new ways to grant its members benefits.

To realize how this bigger vision developed out of the original idea, it is important to point out that the DFA was formed in DP World. DP World came into being due to the Dubai culture as a trading center. In the last ten years, there has been a trend towards global trade restrictions, and according to DP World, the digital revolution is the way to go for the trade sector to grow.

And for this growth, the small and medium shipping companies need to be supported in their digital adoption so they can stand up to the competition from the big players who are already effectively using the digital tools!
